Or were you alone, feeling that no one truly saw you? That childhood lacking attention and care may have planted within you what we call neglect trauma. It is a trauma without physical harm, yet it affects every aspect of your life today. If nothing changed after the trauma of illness, I don't believe it will ever change. "Birth trauma may determine the strength of your emotional body for the rest of your life." At the moment of loss, you felt as though the light inside you went out, and life lost its meaning when your loved one left. Everything became dull, and you felt that living without them was impossible—you lost the desire to live. But now it's time to move beyond the trauma of loss—not by forgetting, but by honoring the self that still waits for you.
