Derekson Worm Gear for Tahoe and Yukon

Derekson worm gear, installed on my Tahoe and Yukon from 2007 to 2009, removed from my vehicle—no defects present. The mechanic told me the issue was with the Derekson worm gear, but the noise persisted; after inspection, the cause was identified as the Derekson power steering pump, which I replaced per the mechanic’s recommendation.
