Set the fabric dial to the required fabric mark. 2. Make sure that the voltage indicated on the iron matches the supply voltage. Leave the iron to heat on the heel rest for two minutes before ironing. 3. When the iron is switched on, the indicator light will illuminate and turn off once it reaches the temperature set on the fabric dial. As long as the iron maintains the set temperature, the light will remain off. However, when the temperature drops, the thermostat will activate, causing the light to glow again. The thermostat ensures that the indicator light automatically regulates the temperature to the level set by the fabric dial. 4. Start ironing synthetic chemical fabrics at a low temperature, then gradually increase the temperature for wool, cotton and linen. Keep in mind that the iron heats up faster than it cools down. 5. Allow sufficient time for the iron to heat up when switching from a low temperature to a high temperature. Conversely, wait a moment when switching to a cold setting.
