In our societies, reputation and what others say are among the most important drivers of behavior for the vast majority of individuals, and among the main deterrents preventing them from engaging in many actions—even if they are personally convinced of them. Here, individuals tend to care about "what people think" to an extent that may surpass their concern for themselves, ranging from daily behaviors to life-changing decisions. Many of us do not necessarily view this as negative, given that humans are inherently "social beings," and therefore have little control over not caring about others' opinions of them. We will discuss this matter from entirely different angles, attempting to delve deep into the idea, broadening our perspectives and expressing our thoughts in a space free from judgment and labeling.
