If we were to say to everyone: 'Once you no longer need a Mushaf, you must give it away to someone else,' this would impose hardship on many people. He also said, may Allah have mercy on him: There is nothing wrong or blameworthy in buying and selling Mushafs. Muslims have continuously bought and sold Mushafs without any objection. The widespread availability of the Mushaf among people cannot be achieved except by permitting its sale and purchase, or obligating its lending to those who no longer need it, as mentioned by some scholars.
