We are currently seeking a proficient and visionary Associate Director - Infrastructure to oversee the planning and development of essential infrastructure systems within the Qiddiya project. The ideal candidate should have experience in bridging engineering excellence with strategic infrastructure development across both giga and municipal projects. The candidate should be capable of overseeing design integrity across multiple design packages, making them well-suited to lead multidisciplinary design functions within large-scale developments. Strong cross-functional experience and leadership skills are essential, along with high adaptability and a strong drive for innovation. Provides design leadership to Design team managing the design, coordinating technical, procurement, commercial, risk and opportunities management across all disciplines, systems and interfaces. Leads the design team in undertaking technical design reviews to ensure compliance with all Project Requirements and Strategy, Project, Design and Development Briefs. Leads the design process in coordination with external consultants through design stages ensuring conformity to the project stated objectives, in line with Ways of Working (WOW), and provides recommendations. Manages outputs of design consultants, including related design documentation, to ensure compliance with Strategy, Project, Design, Development Briefs, and Project Requirements. Leads coordination and collaboration between development, delivery, construction, consultants, contractors and authorities to ensure early identification of design risk and proposal of mitigating strategies. Liaises with Cost Consultants to assess cost of design changes and track accordingly to ensure change management processes are adhered to through design stages. Ensures team maintains strict compliance with industry standards, codes, required regulations and Qiddiya Framework, regulations and templates to guarantee the success of the project. Manages design change process and design notification instructions in coordination with Project Management and Development Teams. Assesses the Consultants and Contractors submittals to ensure conformity to the specifications including correct processes and procedures. Oversees production of Work Breakdown Structure for design/engineering deliverables which is suitable for production of design documentation and is in accordance with procurement, construction staging and project phasing requirements. Oversees the effective functional management and production of all design/engineering deliverables including drawings, specifications, reports and presentations. Leads functional review and reporting on progress of design/engineering deliverables based on agreed milestone gates and earned value. Acts as technical liaison including design matters relating to contracting, procurement and requisitions. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure Management, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is highly desirable. Professional registration in the respective discipline (or similar – i.e. Chartered Engineer) would be an advantage Registration as a Project Management Professional (PMP) would be an advantage. A minimum of 12 - 16 years of relative experience in infrastructure project management, with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Depth of technical experience in a specific area of International technical experience in infrastructure integration, engineering design management, regulatory approvals, and stakeholder coordination Proven expertise in managing complex infrastructure for cultural and heritage-sensitive environments Deep proficiency in civil engineering design, BIM integration, and multi-agency coordination Experience in leading a design team to deliver to program, balancing competing requirements on project to deliver design outcome (e.g. cost v. time v. quality).  Expert knowledge of local and international design standards, codes and regulations.  Previous KSA/Middle East experience preferred   Major program experience – managing multiple projects, conflicting priorities, and stakeholders.    Supports team through periods of business change.  Provides strategic oversight and guidance in managing and prioritizing the workload, deadline-driven and ability to optimize workload.   Leverage exceptional written and verbal skills in English – articulate ideas, strategies, and project performance to a range of audiences and to influence at senior levels.   Leverage in-depth knowledge of enterprise-level digital design solutions and applications. Strong leadership skills to inspire large, diverse teams and deliver results.     Strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and the ability to lead the function's direction, specifically endorsing or opposing practices as needed.
