As the Assistant Manager - Technology Procurement, you will be pivotal in overseeing the procurement processes for technology-related products and services. This role demands a strategic approach to sourcing and contract management, ensuring that all procurement activities align with the company's broader objectives and comply with industry standards. Key Responsibilities: 1. Procurement Strategy Implementation Coordinate and lead procurement initiatives for technology needs, including drafting and managing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and negotiating vendor contracts. Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of proposals from technology vendors, selecting suitable partners that meet organizational goals. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and anticipate technology procurement needs, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project timelines. Continuously monitor and assess market trends in technology to mitigate risks and seize opportunities for value enhancement. 2. Supplier Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with technology suppliers, fostering collaboration and ensuring consistency in service delivery. Evaluate supplier performance regularly to ensure compliance with contracts and quality standards, addressing any issues that arise promptly. Implement performance metrics for suppliers and suggest improvements when necessary. 3. Financial Oversight and Reporting Monitor and manage budgets allocated for technology procurement, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with overall financial strategies. Develop and present regular reports detailing procurement activities, expenditures, and savings, supporting strategic decision-making processes. Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings within the technology procurement framework, optimizing resources effectively. Requirements 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within technology sectors or large-scale projects. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree or additional certifications in procurement is a plus. Strong analytical skills with a proven track record in vendor negotiation and contract management. Experience with procurement software and tools is essential, such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent systems. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, emphasizing collaborative relationship-building across departments. Fluency in English is required; Arabic language skills are a significant advantage. Knowledge of the Saudi Arabian market and local business customs is preferred.
