Treatment of Khul'ah (Wave of the Soul)

A folk healer currently located in the southern region of Jazan. The most important symptoms of Khul'ah, also known as Wave of the Soul, Al-Afnah, or Munqalabat Shawah—despite the variety of names—are numerous and include: Physical symptoms: Heart: Palpitations, rapid heartbeat, chest pain or discomfort. Breathing: Shortness of breath or feeling of suffocation. Digestive system: Nausea, stomach pain, or diarrhea. Senses: Chills, sweating, hot flashes. Nervous system: Trembling or shaking, numbness or tingling in limbs. Sense of reality: Dizziness, feeling faint, sensation that things around you are not real or that you are detached from your body.
