Landscape Consultant As a Landscape Consultant at Rentokil Initial, you will be responsible for providing expert consultation services to clients on landscape design, maintenance, and enhancement options. Your focus will be to ensure client satisfaction through strategic planning and innovative solutions that align with their vision of outdoor spaces. Your main duties will include: Conducting site visits to assess landscaping needs and viability of projects. Selling our Landscape services to clients. Operational Efficiency Ensure vessels operate with minimum downtime and maximum utilization. Troubleshoot engine and machinery defects and carry out necessary repairs promptly. Technical Follow-up and Maintenance Conduct daily technical follow-up on assigned ships. Coordinate and adjust weekly/monthly maintenance work lists in consultation with the Captain, Chief Engineer, and Technical Manager. Monitor the technical performance of vessels through communication, reports, and onboard visits to optimize maintenance levels. Prepare repair specifications for subcontractors and oversee execution of repair works. Collaborate with the Technical Manager for daily technical follow-up of auxiliary equipment. Assess technical deficiencies or wear and tear, recommending improvements in consultation with the ship’s senior engineering team and Technical Manager. Stock and Inventory Management Monitor abnormal consumption of onboard inventory and consumables. Manage onboard inventory levels and coordinate technical orders with third-party suppliers. Source reliable local alternatives for urgent purchases in coordination with the Technical Manager, Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Chief Engineer. Repairs and Dry Docking Schedule and supervise vessel repairs, dry docking, and statutory surveys. Prepare docking specifications and budgets, control costs during docking and repairs. Compile final docking cost summaries and reports. Liaise with clients, charterers, and classification surveyors on technical and operational matters. Commission new vessels and oversee sea trials. Technical Administration and Documentation Draft, review, and verify engineering designs, drawings, technical specifications, and documentation. Review engine and deck logs; prepare log summaries and reports. Monitor fuel oil (FO) and lubricating oil (LO) consumption and analyze operational data. Utilize the in-house Planned Maintenance System (Poseidon or similar) for defect tracking and maintenance planning. Ensure all reporting requirements on board are accurate and compliant. Requirements Minimum Engineering Degree; Holder of Chief Engineer Certificate (or equivalent). Valid Class 1 Certificate of Competency (COC) Unlimited. At least 1–2 years of experience in the marine industry. Minimum 1 year of experience working with Aramco and/or ADNOC projects or vessels.

Troubleshoot defects and faults in engines and machinery and carry out timely repairs. Conduct overhauls and servicing of engines at the workshop or onboard vessels within scheduled timeframes. Reporting and Maintenance Planning Provide daily updates on job status and plan work activities accordingly. Submit weekly and monthly worklists in coordination with the Service Supervisor and Technical Manager. Monitor and follow up on the technical performance of serviced equipment through communication, reports, and onboard visits to optimize maintenance efficiency. Prepare detailed repair specifications and overhaul reports. Assess technical shortcomings or wear and tear on equipment and engines; prepare parts lists and maintenance plans. Stock and Inventory Management Track and manage stock inventory related to equipment and tools. Coordinate with the Service Supervisor and Supply Chain Management (SCM) for planned inventory and technical orders. Repairs and Commissioning Schedule and execute repairs according to planned timelines. Prepare comprehensive parts lists and ensure all required tools are available prior to starting overhaul jobs. Ensure the quality of work meets company standards and delivers the best possible solutions. Commission newly installed or overhauled equipment and conduct sea trials as needed. Cooperation and Communication Maintain a respectful and cooperative attitude towards all coworkers. Actively respond to questions from colleagues regarding repair progress and share updates transparently. Requirements Minimum higher education or technical diploma. ITI certification (national or internationally recognized) in relevant mechanical or technical trade. Minimum 2–3 years of practical experience as a mechanic or in a similar technical role, preferably with exposure to maritime, industrial, or heavy machinery environments. Good understanding of applicable rules, safety regulations, and industry standards relevant to the operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment. Familiarity with regional operational areas such as the Middle East, India, and Africa is a plus.

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures on marine vessels. Ensure all electrical installations comply with marine electrical codes and safety regulations. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on switchboards, lighting systems, motors, transformers, circuit breakers, and control panels. Assist in the testing and commissioning of new electrical systems on vessels during construction or retrofit projects. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and compliance documentation. Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic navigation equipment, communication devices, power packs, and safety systems onboard. Attend all port calls and on-hire inspections to ensure vessel electrical readiness. Respond promptly to vessel breakdowns related to electrical systems and equipment. Assist the purchasing department in sourcing and arranging spare parts required by vessels. Be available on call 24/7 to handle urgent electrical issues as they arise. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in electrical systems preferred. Minimum 1–2 years of experience as an electrician, with at least 1 year in the marine industry. Valid Marine Electrical Certification or equivalent. Proficient in using electrical testing tools such as multimeters, insulation testers, and clamp meters. Ability to work independently and perform well under pressure, including offshore or at sea assignments. Physically fit and capable of working in confined spaces and at heights.
