A Leading Talent Acquisition Company in Saudi Arabia is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Associate Technician specializing in Terrestrial Ecology to join our team in Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will support various ecological assessments and research projects, contributing to the understanding and management of terrestrial ecosystems. You will work closely with senior ecologists and environmental scientists to collect data, conduct field assessments, and assist in analyses that inform conservation and management strategies. This position is ideal for individuals looking to advance their careers in ecology and environmental science while gaining hands-on experience in fieldwork and data analysis. If selected, the job location would be onsite in Saudi Arabia. Responsibilities Assisting terrestrial ecology field work such as camera trapping and bird surveys, including the design, planning and implementation Logistical planning includes safety considerations and access requirements Communicating with local people Organizing field equipment and supplies Data organization and management Assist preparation of data for reporting Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employee’s knowledge, skills and abilities in the field of his/her position. Fluent in Arabic, and conversational and written English is highly desirable Some experience in undertaking field surveys, especially in birds or mammals A general interest in nature and wildlife, and the ability to identify native species would be advantageous Willingness and availability to stay in Abha for the full duration of the contract Physically fit to undertake fieldwork in a mountainous environment. Requirements High school and above. BSc in a relevant field is advantageous (e.g. Zoology, Conservation) 1-3 years of experience in ecological fieldwork or laboratory settings is desirable. Strong understanding of terrestrial ecosystems, biodiversity conservation, and ecological principles. KSA Driving license. Experience with data collection techniques and software (e.g., GIS, statistical analysis tools) is a plus. Ability to perform fieldwork in various environmental conditions and terrains. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with good attention to detail. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment. Key Responsibilities -Equipment Installation and Commissioning Responsible for the installation, commissioning, and configuration of electrical and instrumentation systems for new equipment, ensuring they meet production requirements. -Routine Maintenance and Troubleshooting Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment, promptly identify and resolve system issues to ensure continuous and safe production. -System Calibration and Testing Use standard testing instruments to calibrate equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability. -Documentation and Reporting Maintain maintenance records and prepare fault analysis reports to support equipment management and improvement. -Safety and Compliance Follow all relevant safety regulations and operating procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Qualifications / Requirements Education: Technical diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Instrumentation, or a related field. Experience: At least 2 years of experience maintaining electrical and instrumentation equipment in an industrial environment. Technical Skills: Familiar with electrical control systems, PLCs, DCS, VFDs, and other instrumentation equipment operation and maintenance. Certifications: Relevant electrical or instrumentation certifications are preferred. Language and Communication: Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
