In this meeting, we will discuss what it means for satire to slip between the pages of a book, behind a philosopher's glasses, and even within our casual words and everyday situations. We will bring together Al-Jahiz, who mocks misers, and Nietzsche, who mocks existence, all the way to neighborhood jokes and social media. We will try to understand why we laugh in the first place.
