This support group is designed to create **a safe, empathetic space where you can connect with others who truly understand your struggles.** Here, you’ll find solace, share your journey, and learn practical coping mechanisms to better navigate your daily life with chronic pain. **Who is the Group For?** This group is open to anyone living with chronic pain, regardless of its cause or form. Whether your pain stems from systemic conditions like arthritis, fibromyalgia, or malignancies; injuries or surgeries; or is localized to areas such as the lower back, pelvis, abdomen, or manifests as headaches and migraines, you will find a supportive community here. If chronic pain impacts your life, this group is for you. **What We’ll Talk About:** * **Living with Chronic Pain:** Share and hear personal stories about what it's like to live with chronic pain and how it affects every aspect of life. * **Impact on Life:** Discuss how chronic pain affects relationships, social interactions, and everyday activities, from chores to professional responsibilities. * **Social Stigma:** Explore the societal misconceptions and judgments surrounding chronic pain, and how to cope with being misunderstood or dismissed by others. * **Existing Strengths and Coping Resources:** Identify and build on your own strengths and the coping strategies you already use to manage your pain. * **Creating a Resource Pool:** Collaborate to form a collective pool of resources, tips, and strategies that everyone in the group can access and benefit from. **What to Expect:** Our sessions are structured yet flexible, allowing for both guided discussion and open sharing.
