Job Title: Health Information System Consultant Location: Saudi Arabia Job Summary: The Health Information System (HIS) Consultant will be responsible for the implementation, integration, and optimization of health information systems within healthcare organizations. This role requires ensuring compliance with Saudi Arabian regulations and standards, including those set by the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) and the Ministry of Health (MOH). Key Responsibilities: System Implementation and Integration: Lead the deployment and integration of HIS, ensuring seamless interoperability with existing systems. Collaborate with IT and clinical staff to customize and configure systems according to organizational needs. Ensure data migration and system interfaces are executed accurately and efficiently. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure HIS complies with local regulations, including CBAHI and MOH standards. Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain compliance and address any gaps. Stay updated on changes in healthcare regulations and standards in Saudi Arabia. Data Management and Security: Oversee the management of health information data, ensuring its quality, accuracy, and security. Implement data protection measures in line with Saudi data privacy laws. Develop and enforce policies for data access, storage, and sharing. Training and Support: Provide training to healthcare staff on the use of HIS. Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting for system users. Develop user manuals and training materials. Project Management: Manage HIS projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget. Coordinate with vendors, stakeholders, and internal teams. Prepare project reports and documentation. Quality Improvement: Identify opportunities for system enhancements and process improvements. Implement best practices for HIS usage and data management. Monitor system performance and user feedback to drive continuous improvement. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field. Certification from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) as a Health Information Specialist or equivalent. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in health information systems implementation and management. Strong knowledge of Saudi healthcare regulations and standards. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Proficiency in Arabic and English. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. Proficiency in HIS software and tools. Knowledge of data security and privacy practices.
