The Purchasing Supervisor will play a vital role in managing procurement processes, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring that the company’s purchasing needs are met efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality. Responsibilities Manage and oversee the purchasing department and procurement processes. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the best pricing, quality, and service. Analyze purchasing trends and inventory levels to forecast future purchasing needs. Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms for the company. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, sales, and finance) to align purchasing strategies with business goals. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures for procurement. Monitor supplier performance and take necessary actions to ensure supply chain reliability. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Proven 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the manufacturing sector. Strong negotiation and contract management skills. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. Roles & Responsibilities · Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Sous Chef in hot kitchen operations with international cuisine, preferably in A La Carte outlets within 5 Star hotels. · Strong expertise in preparing meat, poultry, seafood, sauces, and daily specials to 5-star standards. · Ability to supervise, train, and support a small culinary team. · Creative approach to menu execution while maintaining consistency and quality. · Knowledge of food costing, inventory control, and kitchen hygiene standards. · Excellent understanding of HACCP, hygiene, and food safety practices. Key Responsibilities -Equipment Preparation and Setup Prepare and set up machines according to production requirements, ensuring proper operation. -Operation and Monitoring Operate machinery during production and continuously monitor performance to ensure efficiency and product quality. -Quality Inspection Regularly inspect produced products to ensure they meet quality standards and promptly address any defects. -Maintenance and Cleaning Perform daily equipment maintenance and cleaning to keep machines in good condition and reduce downtime. -Troubleshooting and Repairs Conduct basic troubleshooting and repair of equipment when issues arise, and coordinate with technicians if needed. -Record Keeping and Reporting Accurately record production data and machine performance, and report any abnormalities to supervisors. -Compliance with Safety Regulations Strictly follow operational procedures and safety standards to ensure personal and team safety. Qualifications / Requirements Education: Typically requires a high school diploma or vocational training; relevant technical certificates are a plus. Experience: At least 2 years of experience in machine operation or a related field. Skills: Familiarity with production processes and machinery; ability to use measuring tools (e.g., calipers, scales); good analytical and numerical skills. Physical Requirements: Good physical stamina and endurance to handle the demands of the job. Communication and Teamwork: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
