Salla, the leading e-commerce enabler platform in the MENA region, is looking for a talented Category Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies that drive sales and improve customer experience across our upcoming concept stores. This role combines strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and a keen eye for consumer trends to create a compelling customer experience offline. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement category strategies aligned with Salla’s vision and its expansion into concept retail. Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer behavior to optimize category performance and identify growth opportunities. Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of product categories including assortment planning, pricing, promotion, inventory, and merchandising. Collaborate with marketing, design, and supply chain teams to deliver cohesive and engaging category experiences. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and brands to ensure high-quality and well-curated product offerings. Monitor and enhance category profitability through strategic initiatives and continuous improvements. Work closely with the retail (concept store) team to select the right product mix and create immersive in-store experiences. Provide regular reports and insights on category performance across all channels to senior management. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred). 4–6 years of proven experience in category or product management within e-commerce or retail. Strong understanding of retail operations, merchandising, and consumer behavior. Proficient in data analysis and performance metrics with tools like Excel, Google Analytics, or BI platforms. Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills. Experience working with concept stores or experiential retail environments is a strong plus. Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.

Key Roles & Responsibilities Material Receipt & Verification Receive all incoming MEP and Civil materials, equipment, and consumables at site stores. Verify quantity, quality, and specifications against delivery notes, purchase orders, and approved material submittals. Check for damages, discrepancies, and expiry; raise inspection requests with QA/QC for approvals. Storage & Preservation Organize proper storage of materials with tagging, segregation, and protection as per manufacturer guidelines. Maintain safe storage conditions for sensitive MEP equipment (e.g., electrical panels, pumps, fire fighting equipment) and Civil materials (cement, steel, tiles, etc.). Ensure materials are preserved to avoid deterioration, moisture, or handling damage. Issuance & Inventory Control Issue materials to site teams only against approved requisitions and maintain proper records. Monitor consumption and maintain minimum stock levels to avoid shortages. Track tools, equipment, and consumables; maintain issue/return registers. Prevent misuse, pilferage, or wastage of materials.
