Identifying leak locations or gaps • Inspect the concrete element (tank, wall, floor) to locate water exit points or voids using visual inspection or leak detection devices. 2. Cleaning the area • Remove dirt, salts, or paint residues around the leak site to facilitate adhesion. 3. Preparing injection ports • Drill small holes (typically 12–18 mm in diameter) at specific points at an angle to access the leakage path or cavity within the concrete. 4. Installing injection packers • Metal or plastic fittings inserted into the holes to securely deliver the foam material. 5. Injecting foam under pressure • Use a special pump to inject liquid foam, which rapidly expands upon contact with water or air, filling all openings and cracks. 6. Expansion and curing • The foam expands inside the concrete, sealing cracks and hardening within minutes, forming a waterproof barrier. 7. Removing packers and sealing holes • After confirming the leak has stopped, remove the injection packers and seal the holes with cementitious or epoxy mortar.
