An Apigee developer specializes in the design of predictive analytics software applications for identifying opportunities and risks along with API management for analysis of user engagement. In this role, your responsibilities include the testing, implementation, and maintenance of Cloud hosting solutions. You must develop and configure them based on consumer specifications and needs. The Apigee product line offers a suite of API management products that you can use to customize a business platform. Duties involve documenting the development process, troubleshooting issues, and testing. Job Description Develop, configure and maintain applications based on consumer needs Manage and customize various business platforms Implement APIs Harness analytics to create actionable insights Create API product bundles Define API strategies and execution Provide documentation and support for APIs Enhance or maintain existing APIs Configure APIs and API proxies Manage API lifecycle Requirements Experience developing in one or two modern coding languages/frameworks (Python, JavaScript, Node.js, Java, SpringBoot, etc) 4+ years of Significant experience with API Gateways and API Management platforms such as Google Apigee, Amazon API Gateway, Azure API Management, IBM API Connect. Proficiencies in RESTful API design, building and consumption Experience with OpenAPI (fka Swagger) Understanding of various methods of authentication and authorization via APIs (PKI, OAuth2, JWT, LDAP, SAML, etc) Experience with Agile projects and development Understanding of core principles of cloud architectures and experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or AWS Ability to corral, define and document technical requirements for developer implementation Ability to identify performance issues at the app, API, and data tiers and offer solutions to make it better Broad understanding and experience with various frameworks, tools, and technologies (including challenges exposing/consuming data through APIs) Understanding of HTTP and TLS/SSL Ability to learn quickly and “become an expert” on something that you don’t have previous knowledge/experience on Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently (as if on an island) with clients, but also be a consummate team player Can take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion (ie, figure out the next steps without being told explicitly) Must have or be able to get a security clearance Benefits All onsite benefits!
