Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking an innovative and strategic Executive Director - Health Safety & Welfare to oversee and enhance our commitment to maintaining a safe, healthy, and supportive workplace as we embark on one of the most ambitious Destination Cities in the world. This executive role will play a pivotal role in shaping our health, safety, and welfare programs to meet both national and international standards. In this position, you will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive health and safety strategies while promoting employee welfare across all operational areas. Your vision and leadership will ensure that our workplace prioritizes the health and well-being of all employees, contractors, and guests as we move forward with our vision for Qiddiya. Key Responsibilities Drive the strategic development and execution of health, safety, and welfare initiatives aligned with Qiddiya’s goals and compliance requirements. Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate health and safety objectives into organizational strategy and culture. Conduct regular audits, inspections, and assessments to identify potential hazards and implement effective risk management strategies. Lead health and safety training programs and enhance awareness of safety practices among employees and stakeholders. Manage incident reporting and investigation processes to prevent recurrence, ensuring thorough analysis and response planning. Engage with regulatory authorities and external organizations to champion best practices in health, safety, and welfare. Monitor health and safety performance metrics, preparing comprehensive reports for executive management to drive informed decision-making. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in health and safety practices throughout the organization. Ensure compliance with national and international health and safety legislation and industry standards across all projects and operations. Advocate for employee well-being, implementing programs and initiatives that support mental and physical health. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety Management, Environmental Science, or a related field; advanced degrees are advantageous. Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience in health and safety management, particularly in large-scale projects and complex environments. In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and welfare legislation, standards, and best practices. Demonstrated experience in leading and developing health and safety strategies that align with organizational goals. Exceptional leadership abilities with a track record of influencing positive change in safety culture. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a capacity to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Professional certifications in health and safety (NEBOSH, IOSH, etc.) are highly desirable. Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities seamlessly.
