What will be your responsibilities? · Oversee and manage the production process for multiple film projects. · Collaborate with writers, directors, and other production staff to develop and create film concepts. · Develop and manage project budgets and schedules. · Hire and manage production staff, including directors, camera operators, and sound technicians. · Coordinate pre-production, production, and post-production activities, including location scouting, casting, and editing. · Ensure that all projects adhere to quality control standards and meet deadlines. · Work closely with marketing and distribution teams to ensure that completed films are marketed effectively. Be open to travel, with up to 40% of the role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for on-location shoots. JASARA PMC is searching for a highly skilled Senior Specialist in SFX & Specialist Systems to join our innovative team. This role focuses on the design, development, and execution of special effects (SFX) and specialized systems across various projects, with a particular emphasis on thematic and entertainment environments. You will play a key role in ensuring that the integration of SFX contributes to immersive experiences while adhering to safety and performance standards. This role is responsible for overseeing and managing the design, development, and implementation of special effects and specialist systems for theme park areas, ensuring immersive and cohesive guest experiences. As a client-side technical specialist, you will manage design packages, collaborating with consultants and contractors to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. This position requires a leader with deep technical expertise, strong project management capabilities, and an understanding of the use of cutting-edge technologies to drive guest engagement and satisfaction in theme park environments. Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the SFX and specialist systems design concepts for all themed areas, facilities, retail spaces, dining venues, and guest service areas, ensuring alignment with the overall creative vision. Review and approve design packages, technical drawings, and materials submitted by consultants and contractors. Act as the client-side point of contact for SFX and specialist systems design for Lead Design consultants, creative designer, and contractors. Ensure design packages align with project schedules, budgets, quality, and local standards. Collaborate with Lead Design consultants, creative designer, landscape designers, ride engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of SFX and specialist systems within the overall theme park design. Ensure SFX and specialist systems align with operational requirements, guest flow, and accessibility standards. Integrate sustainable design principles and innovative technologies where applicable. Identify potential design and installation issues and work proactively with contractors to resolve them. Perform quality checks on materials, finishes, and installations to ensure high standards are maintained. Report to the design manager and project leadership on progress, risks, and opportunities. Good knowledge of applicable building codes, safety standards, and accessibility requirements. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in an artistic field. Advanced degrees are highly desirable. Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in SFX and specialist systems design for large-scale projects, ideally in theme parks, entertainment venues, or mixed-use developments. Proven track record in managing design and contractor teams on multi-million-dollar projects. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite. Expertise in materials, finishes, and manufacturing techniques for high-traffic environments. Familiarity with international standards for accessibility, SFX, and guest experience optimization. Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines. Role Summary: In-depth knowledge of the development and integration for all scopes related to experiential digital media content. Depth of Experience in Specific area: Experience required in producing media content specific for theme parks and LBE projects. Presents a regular media development progress report update to the Project Executive and regularly keep informed of ongoing activities, developments and issues. Manages key processes related to tendering and contract management by working with internal parties to develop necessary documentation and required scope inputs. Collaborates with various internal departments and external parties to effectively manage the required interfaces to reach the stated goals within the project program. Manages media development in coordination with external media consultants from concept through to site integration stages ensuring conformity to the project stated objectives, and in line with Ways of Working (WOW). Works closely with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to fully understand project requirements and create innovative media production solutions that satisfy standards. Manages the media review, approval, and sign off process by all stakeholders such as IP, Park Operations, LDC, Creative, Creative Guardianship consultants, etc. Manages critical mock-ups and workshops in coordination with external consultants and contractors to mitigate possible show integration and media development issues. Assesses media consultant submittals to ensure quality and technical conformity with appropriate compliance to correct processes and procedures. Requirements 15 years’ min relevant experience in media production and integration specifically for theme parks or other LBE. Expert knowledge in audio and video content production processes and industry standards. Firsthand experience in producing and managing media pipelines such as film production and postproduction, VFX, CGI, 3D / 2D animation, music composition, sound design, VO recording, etc. Proficiency in project management tools required. Relevant experience in managing and producing media for non-conventional formats and pipelines such as stereoscopic, projection mapping, augmented reality, virtual reality, mixed reality, game development…etc., preferred. Leverage in-depth knowledge of media software and related tools is necessary. Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition, Premier Pro, After Effects, etc.) preferred. Proficiency in Autodesk Maya and UNREAL software preferred. Proficiency in other 3D software is an advantage. Previous KSA/Middle East experience preferred. Proficiency in Arabic or Japanese Language is an advantage. Foster a culture of Flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing business requirements.
