Position: Arabic Special Educator Start date: 23 August 2022 Full time Job Job Description: Perform achievement standardized assessments and write reports Write an individualized seducational plan that targets students’ weaknesses. Indicate methods, strategies and evaluation procedure in the IEP. Perform one on one and group sessions for students with learning difficulties Use research based methods to target learning difficulties. Work with a team (collaborate with colleagues) to design, plan and provide an excellent collaborative learning environment. Provide worksheets/resources and forms that helps the department in functioning effectively. Provide home programs trainings for parents to support their children in the learning process. Prepare Math IEPS and School Assessments. Run Math intervention sessions Assess children through pre and post tests. Fill out case-study forms (include weaknesses and strength and clear recommended programs for child). Ability to give appropriate feedback to parents in pre and post testing meetings. Provide one-on-one intervention effectively and efficiently while maintaining rapport and connectedness with students. Data analysis: Look at parent/student/trainer feedback- trainer flow sheets/progress test results. Reach progress target of at least 2 total year gains for every child. Provide recommendations to parents on a daily basis on the communication book and invite parents to observe sessions at the center. Ensure student’s folder is kept organized and updated, by ensuring data sheets and evaluations inside the book. Abide by all CARF standards Use of technology (Microsoft Teams, Emails, Planner, One drive, Zoom, etc..) Abide by all instructions and guidelines issued by the employer that are in the best interests of the center and its policies as dictated by the employer alone.

Create opportunities and motivation for children to become self-reliant, productive and critically-thinkers. Use CBM for continuous assessment. Perform observations at school and provide accommodations and modifications to the classroom setting. Run one on one sessions in Arabic/Math. Provide research-based strategies to teach skills like reading, spelling and writing. Use ABC Center evidence-based program for Reading, spelling and Math. Write an Individualized Educational Plan for students and provide written reports to parents. Collect evidence about your practice and related student outcomes (IEP evaluation) on an ongoing basis to facilitate continual development and improvement. Provide support for parents by providing appropriate recommendations for home and school. Ensure therapy area is kept clean and safe prior to and following sessions by ensuring materials are put back in their original locations.
