Position: Team Leader - Rides & Attractions Mechanical Location: Six Flags Qiddiya City and Aquarabia The Team Leader of Rides & Attractions Mechanical is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operation of all mechanical systems affiliated with rides and attractions within the park. This role ensures guest safety and satisfaction through effective mechanical operations and team leadership. Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership and direction to the mechanical team. Conduct regular inspections and audits of rides and attractions to ensure operational excellence. Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on rides, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance and repairs, minimizing downtime. Monitor and manage inventory of mechanical parts and tools required for operations. Ensure proper documentation and reporting of maintenance activities. Train and mentor team members on mechanical systems and safety protocols. Act as a point of contact for any mechanical issues or emergencies during operational hours. Participate in safety training and contribute to the creation of a safety-conscious work environment. Additional Responsibilities: Assist in budget preparation and management related to mechanical operations. Work collaboratively with management to develop strategies for improving operational efficiency. Stay updated on industry trends and innovations related to rides and attractions. Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Other duties as assigned by management. Requirements Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent; Mechanical Engineering degree or certifications preferred. Experience: 5-10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or engineering, specifically in the amusement park or entertainment industry. Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader role is essential. Skills: In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems related to rides and attractions. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead and motivate a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of safety and compliance standards in amusement parks. Proficiency with maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Collaborates closely with various internal departments, clients, consultants, contractors and stakeholders to fully understand project requirements and create innovative design solutions that satisfy client requirements and local codes and standards. Effectively manage the required interfaces to raise possible impacts to project programs, budgets and quality issues. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, consultants, contractors and stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and integration of various design elements to achieve seamless progression from design, construction to final handover. Proactively monitors and tracks project progress, promptly identify and resolve any design-related challenges or conflicts that may arise and report timeously on these. Efficiently manages and maintains meticulous project documentation, including design records, change orders, and necessary approvals. Initiate and chair meetings with the client, consultants, design team and stakeholders whilst capturing minutes of meetings as necessary. Manages all matters related to design being ‘fit for purpose’ specifically ‘Safety in Design’.  Leads the design sign off process by all design consultants / sub-contract designers.  Ensures quality assurance processes are in place to review design deliverables and ensure compliance with project specifications, design standards and regulatory requirements.  Ensures the team designs according to the cost/business plan, system and operations plan.  Assists Cost Consultants assess the cost of design changes and track accordingly ensuring proper change management processes are adhered to throughout the design process.  Oversees production of Work Breakdown Structure for design/engineering deliverables which is suitable for production of design documentation and is in accordance with procurement, construction staging and project phasing requirements.  Oversees the governance of Shared and Published information within the district and all the Sub-Districts. Facilitates the coordination of interfaces between projects within the district and all the Sub-Districts. Infrastructure. Assists with the evaluation of RFP proposals and provides necessary support to the various business teams. Assists, prepares and presents both progress reports and stage gate presentations for each project, highlighting key milestones, challenges, programmes, designs, costs / budgets and achievements. Requirements Bachelors degree in Electrical engineering, with minimum 10 years, preferably 15 years, work experience in Dry utilities (Electrical HV, MV, LV and Streetlighting) networks, and telecom ducting network design Strong technical review skills, including detailed engineering drawings, calculations and models Experience in integrated land development project with excellent understanding of interdisciplinary coordination, including Rights of way sections. Experience in Dialux, ETAP software and BIM Knowledge of KSA authority regulations and previous experience of liaising with and obtaining approval from Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) An Engineering Master’s degree would be an advantage. Any other relevant post-graduate degrees/diplomas would also be an advantage. Professional registration in respective discipline (i.e. Chartered Engineer or similar) is necessary. Registration as a Project Management Professional (PMP) would be an advantage. A minimum of 10 years relevant experience in dry utilities project management. Proven experience planning, designing and delivery of large-scale and complex dry utilities projects. Possess a strong knowledge of design principles, techniques, and best practices related to dry utilities. Able to define design criteria, specifications and operational requirements. Experience in delivery to program, balancing competing requirements on project to deliver design outcome (e.g. cost v. time v. quality).  Previous KSA/Middle East experience will be an advantage. Diverse experience working within Mega/large scale complex design and construction programs across private and/or government sectors would be an advantage. Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget is necessary. Experience in coordinating and executing design activities, managing design consultants, engaging with stakeholders and coordinating design team members is crucial for this role. Demonstrated strong leadership and management skills to set clear goals, motivate teams and deliver results.   You should be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with the ability to multi-task and prioritize your workload in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
