Logistics Operations Manager

Logistics Operations Manager Department: Operations Management / Supply Chain Direct Supervisor: General Manager or Operations Manager Job Purpose: To oversee daily logistics operations, ensure efficient delivery and distribution processes, achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction, reduce operational costs, and improve overall performance. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement operational plans for delivery and distribution activities. - Manage and supervise operational teams (drivers, supervisors, operations coordinators). - Develop and update work procedures to ensure smooth operations and minimize errors. - Monitor operational performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports to management. - Coordinate with other departments (sales, customer service, warehouses) to ensure operational integration. - Manage the transportation fleet, assign tasks, and monitor maintenance and schedules. - Handle any urgent operational issues and implement immediate solutions. - Improve resource efficiency and reduce costs without compromising quality. - Utilize technical systems (WMS, GPS, ERP) to accurately track operations. - Train and develop operational staff to ensure readiness and high performance. Skills and Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations or supply chain management, including at least 2 years in a leadership role. - Familiarity with operational and logistics management systems and software. - Strong skills in planning, organization, analysis, and team leadership. - Ability to work under pressure and make decisive decisions. - Proficient in computer use and Office software, especially Excel.
