Join us for a cultural and creative experience as part of UrbanPal's pop-up at Homegrown Market in Jeddah as we explore the timeless art of Palestinian hand embroidery (tatreez). This workshop is designed to give members a warm introduction to tatreez, complete with a small gift from Hebron that you can embroider during the session. Under the guidance of a skilled professional, participants will learn the fundamentals of tatreez — from choosing motifs to stitching your designs onto fabric — while discovering the historical and cultural significance behind this cherished craft. Come together with fellow enthusiasts to celebrate our rich heritage through a hands-on, engaging, and community-driven activity. Whether you’re an experienced embroiderer or a curious beginner, this workshop offers a welcoming environment for all skill levels. All materials will be provided. However, you’re welcome to bring an additional item of your choice if you’d like to personalize it with your own tatreez stitches. Let’s stitch, create, and connect through tradition.
