Lecture 393: Oratory among the Arabs

There is no denying that excellent oratory existed among the Arabs before Islam, as oratory stems from emotional reactions arising from events that affect communities. The Arab condition was never devoid of such events. They were inherently inclined to boast about noble traits of honor, such as repelling injustice and protecting neighbors, as well as taking pride in the glory of their ancestors, tribe, and clan.
