There is no denying that there was excellent oratory among the Arabs before Islam, as oratory reflects emotions arising from events affecting communities. The Arab condition was never free from such events. They were inherently inclined to boast about noble traits of nobility, such as repelling injustice and protecting neighbors, as well as taking pride in the glory of their ancestors, tribe, and clan.
