Description
Understands the crew requirement and compliance efficiently
Recruit the most compatible crew for the fleet within the budget as per company policy
Check and verify crew qualifications / documents prior to joining / hiring
Arrange crew recruitment, mobilization, sign-on vessel, monitor onboard performance, sign off and repatriation formalities
Ensure to comply the pre-joining, post joining and off signing formalities with documentation as per company requirements
Create, update and archive crew personal files and records on Poseidon and share drive on a timely basis
Validate completeness and validity of crew documents against company requirements and regulations (Government, Local authority, flag, class, etc.)
Monitor and execute effective crew changes for company’s vessel / managed vessels in a timely manner
Preparation of employment contract to be signed by local crewing manager or local based manager
Manage the coordination with preferred manning agencies according to the set requirements and procedures
Support and assist the crewing manager in the management of crew staff and compliance with regulatory requirements governing company’s vessel
Plan, organize and manage the day to day crewing personnel functions are in compliance with HR policies and procedure
Liaise with other departments for smooth and effecting crew planning
Coordinate directly with operations, PRO and HSQE for personnel, government and logistics matters, medical claims, repatriation pf crew, etc.
Prepare and maintain crew list and reports for review by crewing manager
Manage vessel visits to be complied with company guideline
Maintain a high level of crew retention in a competitive manner
Weekly / monthly / Ad hoc reports submission
Responsible for Payroll management of vessels
SAP / VIM coding and follow-up for invoice payments
Requirements
Minimum Higher Education
Minimum 5 years of experience as a crew / in crewing dept. / similar field with appropriate position
Thorough understanding of the Middle East / India / Africa etc.
Detailed understanding of applicable rules and regulations, conventions, and law applicable to the industry, area of operations and vessel
