Description

Database Installation & Configuration: Install and configure Oracle Database across various environments to support high availability, scalability, and performance requirements. Set up and configure Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and other Oracle high-availability features. Install and configure database replication tools, including IBM InfoSphere CDC and similar tools, to ensure data consistency across environments. Database Administration: Manage Oracle database environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and data integrity. Perform regular patches, upgrades, and security updates in line with corporate standards. Performance Optimization & Monitoring: Conduct performance tuning, optimization, and capacity planning for Oracle databases and replication tools. Use monitoring solutions to proactively manage database health and replication status, addressing potential issues before they affect production. Collaboration & Documentation: Coordinate with development and infrastructure teams to meet deployment and data replication requirements. Document configurations, procedures, and best practices for database administration and replication tools. Security & Compliance: Implement security protocols, manage user access, and ensure adherence to compliance standards and policies. Requirements Expertise in Oracle Database installation, configuration, and maintenance. Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning for Oracle databases. Experience with Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters), Data Guard, and replication tools such as IBM InfoSphere CDC and similar solutions. Strong knowledge of database replication, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning. Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments, including shell scripting for automation. Understanding of security protocols, user management, and role-based access control for databases.
