Role Overview We are hiring a highly skilled and detail-oriented Revenue Accounting & Billing Sr. Manager to lead and own our revenue recognition and billing operations. This role is critical to ensuring that our revenue accounting practices meet global standards (ASC 606 / IFRS 15), with a specific focus on preparing the company for audit-readiness and IPO compliance. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in SaaS billing and revenue operations, has experience working with top-tier auditors (Big Four or equivalent), and is confident in collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Legal, and senior leadership. This role will be foundational in closing those gaps, instilling robust financial practices, and building scalable revenue operations for a public-company future. Requirements Key Responsibilities Revenue Accounting Review and interpret complex SaaS contracts to ensure compliance with ASC 606 / IFRS 15. Oversee accurate and timely revenue recognition, including managing deferred revenue schedules. Lead revenue reconciliations and ensure invoiced and recognized revenue are aligned. Manage the preparation of strategic schedules such as Remaining Performance Obligations (RPO). Billing Operations Own the end-to-end billing lifecycle from contract activation to invoice issuance. Ensure invoices reflect agreed subscription terms and actual usage, with minimal discrepancies. Resolve billing disputes in coordination with internal teams and, where necessary, with customers. Collaborate with Sales and Legal to ensure billing clauses in contracts are enforceable and scalable. Audit & Compliance Serve as the primary liaison with Big Four auditors, leading audit readiness and supporting reviews. Support the month-end and year-end close process related to revenue and billing. Ensure robust documentation of processes and maintain strong internal controls. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, and the Director of Sales to assess post-deal implications. Engage in deal review and pricing strategy sessions for large or strategic opportunities. Over time, take ownership of deal economics and pricing governance currently managed by the CFO. Systems & Automation Drive improvements in billing and revenue operations systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, financial automation tools). Implement tools and processes to scale billing and revenue operations for a high-growth SaaS environment. Candidate Profile Must-Have Qualifications 10+ years of progressive experience in revenue accounting and billing, with at least 5+ years in a SaaS environment. Demonstrated experience leading revenue operations and managing external audits with Big Four firms. Deep understanding of ASC 606 / IFRS 15 and complex SaaS business models. Proficient in using ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) and billing/CRM tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail. Excellent communication skills with a track record of cross-functional collaboration. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent is a strong plus. Nice-to-Have Experience with international billing and multi-currency revenue environments. Exposure to IPO readiness or transformation projects within high-growth tech companies. Familiarity with CRM platforms (Salesforce, Hubspot) and revenue automation tools. Background in advising or collaborating with GTM teams on deal structures and pricing strategy. Success Metrics (First 90-120 Days) Conduct a full audit of current revenue recognition practices and implement quick wins to close compliance gaps. Establish and document accurate billing and revenue recognition processes in alignment with ASC 606 / IFRS 15. Ensure audit readiness with clean reconciliations and robust documentation to support upcoming external reviews. Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to standardize post-deal handovers and streamline invoice accuracy.
